Pine & Tangerine

This Christmas, our Shiso + Kaffir Gin cocktail will truly bring you into the ultimate Christmassy mood. But careful,..drink too much, and you might find yourself hitching a ride back with Santa to the North Pole just to keep the party going! :)

Ingredients

  • 30 ml Shiso + Kaffir Gin
  • 30 ml Pine Liqueur (we used Siroop Maison Rième Den) @monsieur_en_madame_siroop 
  • Ice
  • Mandarin soda to top (we used Agua das Pedras Tangerine) you can order this at  www.salinto.nl or www.saboresdeportugal.nl


Instructions

We used freeze-dried strawberries that we powdered in a small spice grinder. Rim your favorite cocktail glass with a wedge of lime, then dip the rim into the strawberry powder for a festive touch.

  1. Blend freeze-dried strawberries into a fine powder using a spice grinder.
  2. Rub the rim of your cocktail glass with a lime wedge.
  3. Dip the rim into the strawberry powder for a festive look.
  4. Fill your glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour Shiso + Kaffir Gin into the glass,
  6. Pine Liqueur and top off with mandarin soda (about 100 ml or more, depending on your preference).


🌲 Important note! 🌲

For an extra magical look, we froze the tiniest pine cones in ice cubes. These are Real pine cones, but we cleaned them thoroughly by blanching them in boiling water for a few seconds before freezing. Please don’t eat them! They’re just for decoration. If you’d prefer to skip this step, regular ice cubes work just as well, ..trust us, you won’t taste the difference :)
